Leicester set for busy week with Brendan Rodgers looking to add THREE more players before Tuesday’s deadline… while the future of Youri Tielemans remains unclear amid interest from Premier League clubs

Brendan Rodgers is targeting up to three more players to save Leicester from relegation, with the club set for a frantic end to the transfer window.

The Foxes have signed Brazilian winger Tete on loan from Shakhtar Donetsk after adding left back Victor Kristiansen from FC Copenhagen.

The future of Youri Tielemans remains an open question. The Belgian midfielder is out of contract in the summer, so this is the last chance to earn a fee for a player who joined for £32million in 2019.

Brendan Rodgers expects a busy week for Leicester before the transfer window closes

Asked about Tielemans’ future after this win — sealed with a Kelechi Iheanacho goal — Rodgers said: ‘My focus is on who is here and then we see what happens. He has only got five months left on his contract and this has been going on for two years.’

The Foxes made hard work of their passage into the Fifth Round, and squeezed past the League Two side at Banks Stadium.

Tielemans missed a penalty early in the second half when his spot kick hit the post, while Saddlers stopper Owen Evans pulled off a number of saves to deny Rodgers’ men.

It took a late goal from Iheanacho –  who has 17 goals in his last 23 matches in the FA Cup – to seal the win for the Premier League side.
