Erik ten Hag’s side are still locked in a battle for the top-four with eight Premier League games to go after goals from Antony and Dalot secured a 2-0 win at Nottingham Forest.
Dalot admits that an injury-hit United must approach every game as if it’s a cup final as they try to add to their success in the Carabao Cup.
‘It’s going to be a fight until the end, we know how it is,’ said the Portugal defender. ‘The last two months in the Premier League, every game is a fight, every game is do or die for everyone. For us it has to be that mentality – every game is a final and we want to win it.’

Manchester United will look to see off Sevilla in the Europa League this week before they play Brighton in the FA Cup at the weekend
Dalot was impressed by the character shown by his teammates at the City Ground on Sunday as a team missing Marcus Rashford, Lisandro Martinez, Raphael Varane, Luke Shaw, Scott McTominay, Donny van de Beek, Marcel Sabitzer, Alejandro Garnacho and Tyrell Malacia beat struggling Forest to move back into third place.
‘We showed character and we showed personality,’ he added. ‘I mean, there was a lot of noise outside the dressing-room but we kept calm. We knew that we’re not just 11 players in this squad and we showed it once again.
‘When you play for Man United, you’re going to be in the spotlight every time. We knew that with the injuries that we had – important players that got injured – there could be some doubt.
‘It was a big challenge for us to show that we have more than just 11 players in this team. We have a proper squad and I think we showed that. We showed personality, we showed composure on the ball, character and we did a very good game.’
