Thank you very much for joining me tonight. It picked up in the end, didn’t it?
Keep an eye on the site for coverage of Manchester United vs Ready and all the fall-out from this one.
I’ll catch you next time. See ya!
The first half wasn’t pretty, but once Son hit the opener it was easy enough for Tottenham.
The South Korean netted twice before Danjuma scored on debut. Preston in reality offered very little, but that’s expected with poorer players, a poorer manager, and so on. Their attention turns back to Championship football.
Spurs will now look forward to Manchester City at the weekend, but they’re in the fifth round.
Report is below.
90 +3′: That’s your lot.
90 +3′: I think we’ve got a pitch invader. Cool.
Anyway, Son is smiling on the bench after looking to have picked up a knock.
We’re almost there now.
90 +1′: Evans is off for Preston, replaced by Cross-Adair.
Three minutes added on.
88′: Gil works it well and plays the ball to Kulusevski on the right. He drags his cross back and finds the new signing, who slots past Wooodman and wheels off in celebration. Nice.
87′: A debut goal for Danjuma!
86′: The two-goal man is off with Bryan Gil on in his place. He looks in a bit of pain, actually.
Five minutes to go.
80′: Johnson and Fernandez have replaced McCann and Brady for Preston.
They then win a corner as they pin Tottenham back.
It’s a high cross, but Forster holds it.
76′: Great play from Dajnuma and he’s almost on the end of a pass from Son that would have seen him through on goal.
The tele cameras have just zoomed in on Harry Kane. He’s not moving.
72′: Ben Woodburn replaced Ryan Ledson in the Preston team and Spurs are bringing on Skipp for Bentancur, Royal for Doherty, and it’s a debut for Danjuma, who replaces Sessegnon.
70′: It’s a simple ball in and Perisic flicks the pass round the corner on the edge of the box through to Son.
The forward makes space for himself and there was no doubt on the finish.
Is he back?

70′: It’s two for Spurs and two for Son!
69′: Woodman has to be alert to tip over Perisic’s effort.
Doherty then can’t reach a cross.
We’re about to see a few changes.
64′: Whiteman creates a good bit of space for himself on the edge of the box and he curls wide with his left foot.
A free kick is then sent in and Preston win the flick on but Forster eventually gathers.
A great spell for the hosts.
62′: Preston win a corner and Deepdale is awake.
Brady hits the first man. A couple of free kick appeals go against Preston and Cannon randomly hits the deck. He’s booked for diving.
Preston having a go though now.
59′: Cannon receives the ball over the top but Spurs get back well.
Preston are trying to come out a little more now but Spurs are comfortable.
54′: The goal scorer wins a free kick after he’s pulled back by Whiteman.
Spurs needed that. They’ll feel much more comfortable now.
52′: Well he tried a couple of times in the first half, and Son Heung-Min has curled a beauty into the bottom corner, 25 yards out.
Woodman nowhere near it. Preston are going to have to come out now!
51′: We have an opener! It’s Son!
50′: Kulusevski shoots but it’s blocked. He then finds Perisic, but the Croation is dispossessed. Lenglet shoots, but he fires over.
Early possession for Tottenham.
46′: We’re back underway at Deepdale. No changes at the break.
Preston, though not offering too much going forward, will be pleased with their first half showing. Tottenham don’t look like breaking them down at all.
We could see Harry Kane come on in the second half, and I’m sure we will if it stays the same.
45 +1′: Just one minute added on and the half time whistle is blown.
Spurs have struggled to create opportunities and when they have Woodman or the Preston defence have been up to the task.
All to play for.
44′: Spurs finally work an opening inside the area as Kulusevski plays a quick one-two with Son.
The Sweden international shoots, but Preston recover and Lindsey blocks.
42′: Woodman catches a Doherty cross with ease.
Sessegnon then crosses straight out for a goal kick.
It’s not clicking for Spurs.
37′: Doherty wins a free kick on the right and, after a couple of short corners, surely this will go into the box.
Son tries, but he hits the one man in the wall.
Corner. Another. Kulusevski shoots from distance… over.
33′: Preston press Spurs really well and Ledson gets a shot away, but it’s over the bar.
This is easy for Preston so far. Both of Tottenham’s effort have been from distance and they just cannot break down the white all.
25′: Spurs play a ton of passes around the edge of the Preston box but they cannot get past the Preston wall.
Son shoots from distance, probably about 25 yards, and Woodman saves again.
22′: Sanchez gives away a foul on the halfway line, much to the dismay of Tottenham’s players.
Brady puts a cross in and Preson win the header. Hughes gets a shot away but it’s blocked. Good chance!
18′: Son shoots from 25 yards but Woodman saves easily enough after almost diving past the ball.
Spurs win another corner, but it’s cleared.
14′: Browne plays one through for Cannon to chase but Forster comes out to clear.
McCann is changing his shirt after a bit of blood gets on it.
Spurs settling down again now but the hosts remaining firm.
10′: Preston manage to get a foot on the ball and go long but there’s no on up top to collect the ball and Doherty helps Spurs start another attack.
Bentancur fouls Cannon however and the attack dies out.
8′: A free kick to Tottenham left of goal as Whiteman catches Tanganga late.
Perisic takes… straight into the wall! But the ball falls to Kulusevski on he follow in and a great block from Ledson sends the effort out for a corner.
5′: A cagey start here but the game is starting to settle down with Spurs controlling possession.
A cross from the back post is heading towards Doherty but Brady heads behind for a corner. Son and Perisic go short, and the cross is cleared.
1′: Kick off in the north.
The teams are on their ways out at Deepdale.
Lowe’s been in positive spirits before the game.
He told BBC: ‘The place is bouncing as you know. Tottenham Hotspur coming to Deepdale is a huge opportunity for us to put a show on. When you see the team come in they’ve still got a load of world Ccass players albeit without Harry Kane.
‘You have to give them a belief that they can go and perform we play a good brand of football. We get about teams in the Championship, but Tottenham are in the Premier League and you have to show them respect. But we can’t fear them, we have to go toe-to-toe with them and hopefully it’s a good occasion all round.’
Though he’s on the bench, Kane is one goal away from overtaking Jimmy Greaves as Tottenham’s all-time top goal scorer.
Here’s what Alan Shearer said on commentary about the prospect of that happening: ‘I’m sure he’d want to be out there trying to get the record and help his team into the next round, but he might have to wait. He’ll be desperate to get out there and score that goal but I think Greaves got another two in the Charity Shield that don’t count!’
Both sets of players are getting warm at Deepdale. It’ll take some doing!
Ryan Lowe’s in a jumper on the tele.
Again, Arnaut Danjuma is on the bench for Tottenham this evening following his loan move from Villarreal this week.
If you haven’t heard how this transfer came about yet, you should. The winger was due to join Everton, and reportedly shook hands with players, passed a medical and did the media shoots.
But the sacking of Frank Lampard appeared to change everything, and a late hijack from Tottenham meant he was instead on his way to North London. Staggering stuff.
A few more pics here from inside the Spurs dressing room and players arriving.
They have a job to do this evening.
I’ll give you a run down of the full times in the 3pm FA Cup games…
Blackburn 2-2 Birmingham

No massive shocks there, but a few replays to note, with Fulham having to go to the Stadium of Light and League Two Grimsby earning another game against Championship Luton.
Antonio Conte has mad seven changes to the side that beat Fulham in the Premier League on Monday.
Lloris, Romero, Dier, Davies, Royal, Hojbjerg and Kane have all dropped out, with Forster, Tanganga, Sanchez, Lenglet, Doherty, Bissouma and Sessegnon coming in. Got it?
Kane is on the bench, as is new signing Arnaut Danjuma.

Just on Spurs, former defender Sol Campbell has urged fans to get over his move to Arsenal in 2001.
Campbell made the switch under the Bosman ruling after his Tottenham contract expired in what was one of the most shocking switches in football.
He’s been speaking about the impact the abuse has had on him. Full story below.
Tottenham are obviously the favourites going into this one but don’t write Preston, who are going well in the Championship, off.
They’re managed by Ryan Lowe – an interesting character – and started the season slowly but they’re 11th in the table and have won three of their last four games.
They’ll fancy their chances.

Antonio Conte has made it known that he wants to play Harry Kane in every game he can, but the forward has been struggling with illness this week and might not make it.
He’s dug Spurs out of a few holes this season. They could do with him playing at Deepdale.
Good afternoon!
Welcome to Sportsmail’s live coverage of Preston vs Tottenham in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
A tricky one for Spurs and one they’ll want to come through with no issues. Preston have nothing to lose.
