102min: Carlton Morris has got his second goal of the game to put Barnsley back in front AGAIN as the first half of extra time draws to a close. But don’t count 10-man Barrow out just yet…

98min: Neal Maupay has made the Baggies pay after scoring Brighton’s second and the Premier League side are now in front in the first half of extra time. Can Gramham Potter’s men hang on to this lead?

98min: We finally have a break in the deadlock in the game between QPR and Rotherham and it’s the visitors who have the lead. It’s a fantastic finish by Michael Ihiekwe.

90min: WHAT IS GOING ON?! Barrow have equalised AGAIN just two minutes later and Josh Kay has the goal. Barrow just don’t know when they’re beaten. Surely, surely, surely no more goals before extra-time…

88min: What a mad game at Oakwell! Barnsley, once again, have retaken the lead minutes after conceding with Calton Morris surely scoring the winner? You never know with this game.

86min: Oh my goodness. Barrow are back in it once again! What a spirited effort from the visitors and they’re not giving up. James Jones has equalised again just four minutes from time.

89min: And the game at the DW Stadium is heading for extra-time thanks to a last-minute Daniel Ayala equaliser.

83min: What a heartbreaking goal for Barrow. Devante Cole has retaken the lead for Barnsley and there’s just seven minutes left on the clock.

87min: After surviving a brief second-half scare, Brentford are into the fourth round and Bryan Mbeumo has a hat-trick for his efforts. Superb performances.

86min: What an impact from the substitute. Adrian Clifton has just come on and doubled Boreham Wood’s lead and they look to be heading through to the next round.

85min: And Leicester will go marching on into the fourth round with Marc Albrighton getting the Foxes’ fourth of the day. Game done and dusted.

78min: Barrow have said to Kidderminster, ‘whatever you can do, we can do better’. The visitors, who have been down to 10 men since the first half are now back in the tie! Anthony Driscoll-Glennon has levelled things up and the game is heading for extra-time.

82min: Would you believe it – Kidderminster have the lead! As it stands, with eight minutes left on the clock (plus stoppage time), they’re heading for the fourth round and it’s Amari Morgan-Smith who has their second. What a scalp this would be.

81min: Brighton have been granted a lifeline thanks to a late equaliser from Jakub Moder, who is yet to score in the Premier League but has his goal in the FA Cup.

76min: Port Vale have really been knocking on the door since getting a goal back and it looked like they were going to equalise but Mbeumo has got his second and restored the Bees’ two-goal lead.

73min: You may have noticed in my score update that Wigan are ahead and you’d be right in thinking that because they’ve just taken the lead. Jack Whatmough has got the goal for the Lactics.

61min: Almost missed this one amidst the flurry of goals in the last few minutes. Wigan are back into the game with Max Power scoring the equaliser.

70min: Just minutes after Mbeumo’s goal and Brentford’s second, Port Vale have got themselves back into it thanks to Kian Harratt’s strike.

69min: And the lowest ranked team left in the FA Cup are back in it! Sam Austin has levelled things up for Kidderminster against Reading.

69min: Two yellow cards for Cedric Kipre and he’s off. Given Brighton hope they can get back into the game.

66min: Ten-man Barrow have got themselves back into the game, thanks to a 66th-minute strike from Ollie Banks – is the comeback on?

66min: And Brentford have doubled the lead and look in control against Port Vale. Bryan Mbeumo gets the Bees’ second.

Moments after Harvey Barnes had put Leicester 3-1 up, the floodlights went out. Watford were just about to make a double substitution. ‘Maintenance are attempting to reset the lights’ comes the message over the tannoy. There are 61 minutes on the clock and we have now been paused for fgive minutes. The players are trying to keep warm by knocking balls about, fans have turned on their phone lights and are chanting ‘We’ll play in the dark’.

And we’re back! The lights come back on to a huge cheer, after a six-minute delay.

63min: Peterborough have retaken the lead and it’s a debut goal for Bali Mumba. What a way to make an impact on your first appearance for the club.

57min: The lights have gone out at the King Power and play has temporarily stopped. Brendan Rodgers was just about to make a few substitutions but the floodlights failed.

57min: What drama! Cambridge have taken a shock lead at St James’ Park through Joe Ironside but VAR intervened and wiped the goal out. However, after more checks, the goal stands and the visiting support get to celebrate all over again!

56min: Harvey Barnes has restored the Foxes’ two-goal lead with the strike initially ruled out for offside. However, following a check from VAR, the goal was given by Mike Dean.

55min: Trippier was hoping to mark his debut with a goal as he stands over a free-kick but he sends it straight into the wall. 

49min: Blackburn have taken the lead against Wigan and it’s Reda Khadra to get the goal. On loan from Brighton, he has his fourth goal for Tony Mowbray’s side who have been flying as of late.

47min: A great start to the second half for the Baggies and it’s Callum Robinson who’s broken the deadlock. That’s three goals in his last three home games.

The action is back underway in the 3pm kick-offs.

45+1min: Kidderminster, the lowest ranked team left in the FA Cup, have gone behind and they would’nt have thought it was Puscas who’d have scored against them. Well, not that Puskas. But George Puscas. Reading take the lead.

43min: And it’s gone horribly wrong for Barrow. They’re now 2-0 down and it’s Jordan Williams who has doubled the lead for the hosts.

38min: It’s gone from bad to worse for Barrow against Barnsley. Tom Beadling has been shown a straight red card for foul play and now they’ll have to play the whole of the second half, and rest of the first, with 10 men.

36min: Cambridge claim for a penalty as Knibbs goes down in the box under pressure from Ritchie but VAR tells the referee to play on. Tight call there.

30min: Peterborough’s lead only lasted 10 minutes after Paul Coutts equalised from the penalty spot. Game on at the Weston Homes Stadium.

27min: And just when I say Leicester are in complete control, Watford pull one back! It’s Joao Pedro to half the deficit and get the visitors back into it.

26min: What a finish from Marcus Forss! The Brentford man has drilled it into the top corner and he’s scored the first away goal of the 3pm kick-offs. Port Vale have been good though so don’t count them out.

23min: Mads Juel Andersen has given Barnsley the lead against Barrow, with the visitors dominating possession in the first half so far.

26min: James Maddison has doubled Leicester’s lead and their in complete control before the half-hour mark.

20min: The deadlock has been broken and it’s Peterborough’s Sammie Szmodics to get the goal. He’s got a great record against Rovers so it was no shock to see his name pop up.

18min: Watford has responded well to going behind at the King Power. Ranieri needed a response from his men and they’re reacted positively to going behind. Still plenty of work to do against the holders.

10min: And the hosts have taken a surprise lead against Wimbledon! Tyrone Marsh is the man to put the ball in the net and get the National League side off to a flyer.

8min: And it’s Youri Tielemans to step up and convert the spot-kick. The Foxes have the lead and the first goal of the 3pm kick-offs. Watford need to respond quickly given how Leicester have started.

7min: Shouts for a penalty during a corner and Mike Dean points to the spot!

Leicester have started brightly in their clash with Watford but it’s goalless in the opening five minutes in these 3pm kick-offs.

MILLWALL 1-2 CRYSTAL PALACE: A stunning second-half display by Michael Olise helped Crystal Palace come from behind to beat rivals Millwall 2-1 and avoid an FA Cup upset.

The Lions had knocked out Everton and Leicester in recent years and were eyeing another scalp when Benik Afobe put them ahead early on to only further incite a partisan crowd at the Den.

At this point Patrick Vieira, a five-time winner of the competition, was heading for an unwanted first defeat as a manager in the FA Cup but his 20-year-old summer signing turned the south London derby around.

An the award for the oddest mascot easily goes to the Baggies’ boiler man.

Here is the mascot in his full glory ahead of kick-off at the Hawthorns.

BURNLEY 1-2 HUDDERSFIELD: Huddersfield produced a spirited second-half comeback to cause a shock against Premier League strugglers Burnley at Turf Moor in the FA Cup third round.

Burnley, who were without their self-isolating manager Sean Dyche, took the lead in the first half when Jay Rodriguez beat Huddersfield goalkeeper Ryan Schofield to a ball to head the hosts ahead.

However, Town deservedly levelled in the second half when Josh Koroma tapped home at the back post. And the Championship side won it with just three minutes remaining, centre-back Matty Pearson rising highest in the area to head home in front of the travelling fans.

Quite the rise for Leicester youngster Lewis Brunt. A little more than a year ago, he scored the winner for Gloucester against Leamington in the National League North. Fast forward from Boxing Day 2020 and the 21-year-old lined up for his senior Foxes debut alongside Premier League champion Marc Albrighton and Youri Tielemans, one of Europe’s top midfielders.

The FA Cup is always famed for its storylines.

Kieran Trippier was handed his Newcastle debut in Saturday’s FA Cup third round clash with Cambridge just a day after completing his move to Tyneside.

The 31-year-old England full-back, who joined the Magpies from Atletico Madrid on Friday, was included in one of three changes to the side which drew with Manchester United last time out as he, Jacob Murphy and Matt Ritchie replaced Javier Manquillo, Jamaal Lascelles and the injured Callum Wilson.

Eddie Howe has named Newcastle’s newest signing, Kieran Trippier, in the starting lineup to face Cambridge United.

Can the Spanish league winner get his Magpies spell off to a winning start?

Former Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri, with his eye on some crucial Premier League relegation battles in the coming weeks, made seven changes to his Watford side.

Daniel Bachmann, Craig Cathcart, Francisco Sierralta and Moussa Sissoko were the players retained while Hassane Kamara, one of their recent new signings, was on the bench. Emmanuel Dennis was not risked.

Holders Leicester made nine changes as they began the defence of their trophy against a vastly-altered Watford.

Only James Maddison and Hamza Choudhury remained for the Foxes from the side that beat Liverpool in their last outing on December 28.

Hampered by an extensive injury list and Africa Cup of Nations call-ups, manager Brendan Rodgers handed a debut to Lewis Brunt, who partnered Jannik Vestergaard in defence.

Welcome everyone to Sportsmail’s coverage of the FA Cup third round.

There’s already six games underway in the third round, where you can follow all the live updates here.

But staying with the 3pm kick-offs, there’s plenty of great ties on offer.

An all-Premier League clash between Leicester and Watford is taking place at the King Power while other top-flight sides are in action. These include Newcastle at home to Cambridge, Brentford visit Port Vale while Brighton feature at the Hawthorns against West Brom.

There are also plenty of giant killings on the cards so you won’t want to miss what makes the FA Cup so special.
