Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount insisted that his side let their football do the talking as they dispatched of Middlesbrough to progress to the semi-finals of the FA Cup.
The Blues prevailed with a 2-0 victory at the Riverside Stadium, with Mount setting up the first goal for Romelu Lukaku before Hakim Ziyech doubled the lead with a fine strike.
It was a somewhat strange experience for Chelsea, who were backed by around only 700 away supporters following sanctions imposed on owner Roman Abramovich.

Mount has been impressed with the way in which Chelsea have continued to perform in difficult circumstances.
Speaking to BBC Sport, Mount said: ‘Middlesbrough have been on an unbelievable run, you’ve seen the teams they’ve beaten recently in the cup, so it was never going to be a comfortable night.
‘We didn’t have many fans here tonight but I felt that we let our football do the talking. We played some good stuff, and that was the main goal for us tonight.
Due to sanctions imposed on Roman Abramovich there were only around 700 Chelsea fans in attendance
Mount is determined to win the FA Cup with Chelsea and spoke highly of the winning mentality that is present among Thomas Tuchel’s squad.
The 23-year-old admitted that it has been tough in recent weeks amid uncertainty regarding the club’s ownership.
However, he stressed that Chelsea are eager to improve their Wembley form after losing this season’s Carabao Cup final to Liverpool on penalties and have lost their last five domestic cup finals at the ground.

Mount said: ‘We really have that winning mentality within the group. Any competition, any game, we want to win, and we want to keep that going. It’s been a tough couple of weeks but for us, as a team, we’re just focused and ready to play.
‘We’re so hungry for a domestic title, we just need to keep going. It’s not been the best of runs for us at Wembley but we want to right that wrong. We’ve already had one final at Wembley this season and lost it so we’re hungry to win [the semi-final].’
Middlesbrough tried their utmost to limit Chelsea’s threat, but the Blues were simply too strong.
Tuchel’s side are also through to the quarter-finals of the Champions League, where they will take on Real Madrid.
