Manchester United and Leeds look set to face each other twice in the Premier League in just five days during the month of February, bringing back memories of the infamous ‘trilogy’ back in the 1991-92 season.
The two sides are expected to have an earlier postponement re-arranged for February, 8 just four days before they are due to clash at Elland Road – that is providing that neither side ends up with a fourth-round replay in the FA Cup.
The clash was initially postponed in September after the sad passing of Queen Elizabeth II, with the fixture due to take place two days before her funeral, with considerable police resources from across the UK being diverted to London.
