Manchester City will take on Premier League leaders Arsenal in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Pep Guardiola’s men are coming off of a win against Chelsea in the last round of the competition. 

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have been in fine form and will be looking to keep the streak going following their last-gasp win over Manchester United.

Arsenal secured a comfortable 3-0 win away to Oxford United in the last round and have looked unplayable as of late.

The winner of the epic cup tie will be full of confidence as they look to go on a good run this season.

When is Manchester City vs Arsenal?

Manchester City will host Arsenal this evening with kick-off getting underway at 8pm.

After Guardiola’s men thumped Chelsea in the last round of the competition, City will once again have home advantage as they looked to go far in the competition.

The Gunners had a fairly comfortable night at the office in the last round when they defeated League One side Oxford United.

City and Arsenal last met in January 2022, with Guardiola’s men coming away victorious thanks to a last minute winner from midfielder Rodri.  

 

Where will Manchester City vs Arsenal take place?

The clash between Manchester City and Arsenal is set to take place at the Etihad in Manchester.

Guardiola’s men have made the Etihad a real fortress in recent times, with Arsenal aware that it will take some doing to come away with the win.

City’s last defeat at home came against Brentford just before the World Cup break.

As for Arsenal, they have endured a torrid time at the Etihad over the years. The North London club have not won in all competitions at the Etihad since 2015.

What has been said in the build-up to the game? 

Speaking on the cup showdown, Guardiola said: ‘It’s a different competition, it’s a final. It’s more than Arsenal to prove ourselves to how is our level against… a team with 50 points in one leg is the best.

In terms of team news, City have no real injury concerns, with Phil Foden set to return to the squad. 

After starting in the third round against Chelsea, Stefan Ortega is once again set to feature between the sticks. 

As for Arsenal, they are expected to be without striker Gabriel Jesus, Mohamed Elneny and Reiss Nelson.

Other than that, Arteta has no other injury concerns ahead of the trip to the Etihad.
