Goodnight!
It’s all over at Old Trafford.
Manchester United advance into the fifth round of the FA Cup with a comfortable win. A quick-fire brace by Casemiro and one for Fred ensure United pick up their 11th consecutive home win.
The full report is below.
90+2 – Elanga plays one over the top to Garnacho, who looked set to run in on goal before being slowed down by Mbengue.
87′ – Garnacho cuts in and delivers a cross into the path of Antony. The Brazilian winger loses his footing at the crucial point and Reading manage to survive
83′ – United are enjoying the lion’s share of possession at the moment as they close in on yet another win. Not long to go now.
78′ – Ince puts the ball through the legs of Mainoo before being pulled back by Malacia, who goes straight into the book.
75′ – Goalkeeper Lumley is replaced by second choice Bouzanis!
Long and Craig also come in for Joao and Hendrick.
73′ – Casemiro and Weghorst go off to be replaces by Mainoo and Weghorst.
72′ – It’s goal galore! Reading get on the scoresheet as Mbengue heads one in from a corner. It’s poor defending by the hosts and you’d assume Ten Hag will not be happy with that.
70′ – Malacia plays in the newly introduced Garnacho, whose effort is saved but United somehow fail to bundle the ball over the line in the follow up.
It wouldn’t have counted, though, as Granacho was offside.
66′ – Reading are caught out by a short corner. Fernandes flashes one into the box and it’s a superb flick by Fred that beats Lumley at the near-post.
65′ – The Reading striker is shown a red for a second bookable offence after a reckless lunge into Casemiro.
62′ – Loum is replaces by Fornah.
58′ – What. A. Goal. Casemiro gets his second goal in three minutes. Fred lays it to his fellow Brazilian midfielder, who curls a powerful shot into the bottom corner. It looked to have taken a slight deflection on it’s way into the back of the net.
57′ – Fred enters the field to replace Eriksen.
55′ – It’s been coming. Antony controls a long ball perfectly before sliding in Casmiero, who scoops it over a helpless Lumley.
53′ – Carroll is fortunate to get away without a booking after a reckless challenge on Eriksen.
49′ – Hoilett is currently receiving treatment after going down due to a nose bleed.
48′ – Hoilett is caught lingering on the ball for too long as he loses the ball. Fernandes long-range effort goes well over the bar.
46′ – The visitors get us back underway for the second-half.
It has been been a one way traffic and the home team will head into the dressing room wondering how they’re not in the lead.
To Reading’s credit, they have defended well but have rarely threatened to get a goal of their own.
45+1 – It’s Reading’s first sight of goal and they almost take the lead. Malacia takes his time to clear the ball away following a cross from the left and he’s caught out by Hoilett, whose effort is saved by De Gea.
45′ – Antony has been lively in this first-half. A corner comes out to him on the edge of the box but his effort with his weak foot goes well over the bar.
40′ – Hoilett wins the ball off Casemiro who goes down inside the box. Huge appeals for a penalty follow but the Reading full-back got a touch on the ball.
36′ – Reading breath a sigh of relief as Weghorst is deemed to have been in an offside position following a VAR check.
35′ – It’s that man Rashford again! Weghorst wins a lose ball in the air and guides it to the back-post for Rashford to head in over the line from the tightest of angles.

27′ – Antony gets away from Rahman down the right and lays it to Fernandes who attempts to flick it into top corner. But his effort sails over the bar.
24′ – It’s relentless pressure from Erik ten hag’s side. The Reading back five have hardly got out from the edge of their own box. They’re standing firm at the moment, though.
21′ – Malacia delivers a cross from the left, Eriksen controls it before Weghorst unleashes a shot which is blocked by Holmes.
17′ – United are knocking on the door. Fernandes lays one for Antony, who cuts in and drags a low effort wide. Reading goalkeeper Lumley had it covered you’d assume.
15′ – Rashford strikes a free-kick well but Lumley is equal to it despite the swerve on the ball. Eriksen’s follow up effort is blocked.

11′ – The visitors look to have settled into this one. Old Trafford has gone a bit quiet since the opening minutes. Perhaps a goal will change that…
8′ – Eriksen flashes a free-kick from 25 yards or so wide of Lumley’s left post. Reading are camped deep in their own half, with United dominating.
5′ – United get down the other end of the pitch after blocking a Reading freekick. Antony nutmegs Baba and Wan-Bissaka flashes one across goal. But Weghorst’s flick goes wide of the post.
